SECURE PAYMENT POLICY
At cronostone.sk, the security of your financial transactions and the protection of your sensitive data is our highest priority. To ensure maximum safety while shopping, we implement the latest European security standards and technologies.
1. SSL ENCRYPTION (HTTPS)
All communication between your device (computer, smartphone) and our e-shop is carried out via the encrypted HTTPS protocol using an SSL/TLS certificate.
  • All data you enter on our website is instantly encrypted and protected against interception by third parties.
  • You can recognize a secure connection by the locked padlock icon in the address bar of your internet browser.
2. WE DO NOT STORE YOUR CARD DETAILS
Our e-shop operates on the PrestaShop platform, which is configured so that it never sees, processes, or stores the full details of your payment card (card number, card expiration date, or the CVC/CVV security code).
  • When choosing to pay by card, you are automatically redirected to the secure environment of a licensed payment gateway.
  • You enter your card details exclusively into the system of the payment gateway provider, which subsequently only sends us confirmation of whether the payment was successful or unsuccessful.
3. STRONG CUSTOMER AUTHENTICATION (3D SECURE 2.0)
In compliance with the European Payment Services Directive (PSD2), we support 3D Secure technology. This technology mandates Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) for online payments.
  • Every card payment must be additionally confirmed by two independent factors.
  • You authorize the payment within your banking application (e.g., via fingerprint, FaceID, PIN code) or by entering an SMS code. This prevents any misuse of your card in the event it is lost or stolen.
4. OUR LICENSED PARTNERS (PAYMENT GATEWAYS)
We cooperate exclusively with verified and fully certified payment service providers who comply with the strictest international PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) security regulations. Transactions on our website are processed by:
  • ComGate a.s. (regulated by the Czech National Bank)
  • GOPAY s.r.o. (regulated by the Czech National Bank)
  • TrustPay, a.s. (regulated by the National Bank of Slovakia)
All of these institutions guarantee top-tier technical security comparable to electronic banking security standards.
5. HOW CAN YOU INCREASE YOUR SECURITY?
  • Anti-Phishing: Our e-shop will never request sensitive data (such as your card's PIN code or online banking login credentials) via e-mail, SMS messages, or social media. If you receive such a request, it is a scam – do not reply to the message and contact us immediately.
  • Updates: Always keep your web browser and device's operating system updated to the latest version.
  • Public Wi-Fi: It is not recommended to connect to unknown public Wi-Fi networks (e.g., in cafés or stations) when making online payments, as there is a higher risk of data interception. We advise using mobile data or a secured home network instead.
